This page describes the 1st IF Filter for the DIY Spectrum Analyzer.
Summary
The 1st IF Filter is a modified coupled-line microstrip filter. The first mixer upconverts the input of 30MHz-2.5GHz to a fixed 3.5GHz IF via the 1st LO of 3.53-6GHz. The first IF filter must reject the 2nd image of 1.94GHz, and RF feedthrough at 30MHz-2.5GHz.
