The rev350 is a custom designed + built ~370mm motor to motor distance H-quad with simplicity and durability in mind. It uses 6 unique FR-4 plates, 10mm carbon-hybrid booms (as described here: https://www.fortisairframes.com/how-to-carbon-hybrid-booms/) and 10mm basswood, held together with M3 screws. It uses a clean/dirty plate system, with the motors/ESCs on the vibration isolated carbon fiber frame, and the cameras, flight controller, and battery (for weight) below. It is designed primarily to use a G1W dash cam as the main flight recording camera, but has the mounting option for a brushless gimbal + GoPro.
Design
The rev350 quadcopter has an all-up weight of 1.115kg including G1W dash cam, and 1.513kg including battery. This gives an estimated hover power consumption of 168W with DT-700s and 11x4.7" props, yielding a hover time of ~19 minutes with a 5AH battery. Flight time would increase to ~29 minutes with a 10AH battery. The peak power usage of the rev350 will be ~600W at >925g of thrust per motor, yielding a current of ~50A. In the quick-change battery configuration the quad will have an estimated all-up weight of 1.6kg including camera and battery. This gives an estimated hover time of ~18 minutes on the 5000mAH main battery and ~3 minutes on the 850mAH reserve battery.
